PRICING

How does pricing work?

Auto Attendants and General Messages: $50 per 75 words (charged by total word count)

Message On Hold:
$99 for first 100 words and 1 background music track
$40 for each additional 100 words thereafter

General Message Music: $25 per message (Not available for Auto Attendant)

Rush Delivery: $50 for the first 75 words and $25 for every 75 words thereafter

Proofreading: $12 per 75 words

Revision Fee: Starts at $25

Editing Charge: Starts at $25

What is a Small Revisions Fee?

If you would like to make changes to your order within 14 days of the order's delivery date and the changes are under 25 words we charge $25. Anything beyond 25 words will be charged $50 per 75 words.

What is an Editing Charge?

Any changes to your message that does not include re-recording will result in a charge of $25 for the first message edited and $5 for every message edited thereafter.

REGISTRATION / LOGIN

How do I register?

You can refer to the email that was sent to you in your Comcast Welcome Package. This email provides you with your Customer Name, Registration ID, and Email Address. To begin the registration process, go to: https://snaprecordings.com/comcast/

Make sure that you use the correct Registration ID and the correct Email Address. You will need to make your own password. If you are having trouble registering, please contact us at (866) 721-7627.

I forgot my password

Click on "Existing Users Login" at the top right of the page. Simply click the "Forgot Password" link next to the "Sign In" button.

CREATING AN ORDER

What is this "Day One Order" in my account?

A "Day One Order" contains the greetings that you've created with your Comcast Representative. When you are on the "Write or Edit Your Message" page, each Auto Attendant containing a greeting will have a word count next to it.

Any greetings with a blue dot will have the first 75 words covered by your Comcast Subsidy. The amount of subsidies available in your account can be located in the "Remaining Subsidized Greetings" box. You can modify the greetings to reflect your current phone system configuration. Please be sure to leave pronunciation notes for any non-standard dictionary words. E.g. names, locations, or special pronunciations.

How do I create a new order?

Navigate to the My Orders Page and select the "Create New Order" button. Then title your order, select your Voice Talent, and choose to Take a Tour of the site or begin writing your messages.

VOICE TALENT

What does * mean next to the Voice Talent's name?

The asterisk next to the Voice Talent name indicates that these Voice talents are bilingual and are able to read in English and Spanish.

Can I have multiple Voice Talents read my script?

No, at this time, we do not support multiple talents on single orders. We only allow one voice per order. If you wish to have multiple Voice Talents read your messages, you can create each message as its own order.

I used a different Voice Talent on my last order and now I don't see them.

Unfortunately, this Voice Talent is unavailable at this time. You can select a new Voice Talent for your order, or you can contact us and we can help assist with your request for a specific Voice Talent.

How do I change my Voice Talent in an order I'm working on?

There are two ways to change your Voice Talent when you are working in an order:
- You can click the "Step 1" button at the top of the Write or Edit Your Message page
- Or you can click on the Voice Talent's name in the blue Order Detail box.
Either way will take you to the Voice Talent Player where you can choose a new Voice Talent for that order. Once you've chosen, click "Next" and you're done.

MUSIC

Can I upload my own music track?

Not usually, but if you have a track you can't live without and it is licensed, you can contact support at (866) 721-7627 and our Customer Support staff will assist.

How do I add/change/remove a music track?

Add: There are two ways to add a music track to a message. You can add the music track at the creation of the message when you are prompted by the module, or you can add it after you've created the message by selecting the "Add Music Track" button next to your message box.

Change: If you need to change your music track, you can do so by selecting the "Change Music" button next to your message.

Remove: Click the link next to "Music Tracks" in the blue Order Module. If you don't remember which message the music track is attached to, you can delete a specific track by clicking the trashcan icon. This also gives you the ability to delete a single track from multiple messages it is applied to. You can also delete your track from inside the individual message by clicking the "X" next to the track.

CREATING MESSAGES

How do I create a message for My Phone System?

The My Phone System on the Write or Edit your Message page will contain your Comcast Business Voice Edge Auto Attendants available in your Snap account. Click on the "Write Message" button next to the Auto Attendant you would like to write/edit.

How do I create an On Hold Message or General Message?

Click on the "On Hold Messages" tab on the Write or Edit Your Message page. Then click on the "Create On-Hold Message" button. If it is a general message, click on the "General Messages" tab, then click "Create General Message".

Does Snap Recordings provide script-writing services?

No, at this time we do not provide this service. However, our "Script Examples" on the Help page provides various scripts from Auto Attendants to industry specific On Hold Messages that you can customize to your company's needs.

Where can I get help writing my script?

On the Write or Edit Your Message page click on "Script Examples" button. Here, you can choose from various script samples and customize them to suit your company's needs.

What can I write in the Pronunciation Notes section?

Click on the "Guidelines" button in the Pronunciation Notes box to see examples of ways to clarify your script. You can include directions on how to pronounce: Names, Numbers, Words, Symbols, Abbreviations, etc.

When can I order an On Hold Message?

We recommend completing your Day One Order with your Auto Attendants prior to beginning an On Hold Message. Your Day One Order is designed to get your phone system up and running. What is an On Hold Message?

An On Hold Message is a collection of announcements that are separated by music. This message plays while your customers are on hold.

What is under My Phone System?

The My Phone System is a reflection of how your current Comcast BVE system is configured.

My phone system is missing Auto Attendant numbers. How do I add more lines?

In order to add more Auto Attendant numbers, you can do so by contacting Comcast. Alternatively, you can create your audio with Snap Recordings, and download your audio from your Audio Library.

CHANGE / MODIFY MESSAGES

How do I edit a script I've already started in my account?

From the My Orders page, click "Script Writing" next to the order you'd like to work on and then click "Edit Message". Here, you can edit your message. It will automatically save as you type.

How do I save my order?

You don't have to! Your messages will automatically save as you type.

How do I rearrange my announcements in my On Hold Message?

You can move an announcement by clicking and dragging the grey bar at the top of each announcement to rearrange the order.

How do I add/remove an announcement from my On Hold Message?

Add: You can add an announcement by clicking "Add New Announcement" below your existing announcements.

Remove: To remove an announcement, click "Remove" in the upper right corner of the announcement box.

How do I change the length of a music break in between announcements?

Choose the desired music break by using the dropdown menu above and/or below each announcement box and select your interval length. If you wish to have an interval longer/shorter than the options available, please specify this in the notes section provided.

SUBSIDIZED MESSAGES

What is a subsidized message?

Comcast has provided each of their Business Voice Edge Customers with a certain amount of subsidies depending on the size of their phone system. One subsidy will cover the cost of 75 words of one greeting. Only one subsidy will apply to one greeting.

How many words does one subsidy cover?

A subsidy message will cover up to 75 words of a message. Anything beyond 75 words will incur a fee of $50 per 75 words

Why is my subsidized message being charged?

The subsidy provided by Comcast will only cover the first 75 words of each message. If you go over your allotted word count, you will be charged $50 for every 75 words thereafter.

How do I know how many subsidized greetings I have left?

When you begin your order and select a voice, the Write or Edit Your Message page will display your remaining subsidized greetings.

CHECKING OUT

How can I check out?

Hover over "Checkout" and click "Continue to Checkout". You can also click "Checkout" listed as the last step in the process at the top of the page.

How do you see an itemized list of my total cost for an order?

In an individual order, hover over "Checkout" and you will find a list of all current charges and your total cost for that order.

CHANGES TO AN ORDER AFTER CHECKOUT

How do I make a change to my order after I've received it?

Depending on the extent of your changes, you may need to create a new message by starting a new order. If your changes are within 14 days of the message being delivered to your account, and the changes are under 25 words, Snap Recordings offers a Small Revisions fee of $25 for these minor fixes.

What do I do if Snap Recordings made a mistake in my order?

If we have made a mistake in your order, please let us know right away. We will be happy to assist you with resolving this.

REVIEWING AND APPROVING AN ORDER

How do I Review and Approve my Messages?

From the My Orders Page click on the "Review/Approve" button. This will take you to the Review and Approve Page. From here you can listen to your messages. If they are correct, you can install them to your My Phone System or save them to your Audio Library.

How do I request a revision for my message?

From the My Orders Page click on the "Review/Approve" button. This will take you to the Review and Approve Page. From here you can listen to your messages. If you find an issue with your recording or script, click "Request Revision". Here, you can describe any issues or errors you have found and click "Submit Ticket". Your ticket will be reviewed by the Snap Team and you will be contacted if necessary.

INSTALLING A MESSAGE

How do I install an Auto Attendant message?

Click on My Phone System in the top right corner of the page. Click on the "Change Audio" button next to the Auto Attendant on which you would like to install. If you do not see the message you are looking for click on "My Audio Library" which will include all audio you have created.

How can I change my messages in My Phone System?

Click the "Change Audio" button next to the Auto Attendant you wish to update and select your message from the dropdown. If you do not find the audio you are looking for, click "My Audio Library", select the recording and click "Install".

How do I know which message is currently installed on My Phone System?

Click on My Phone System at the top of the page. Here you will see the phone numbers that were set up by Comcast and any greetings that have been uploaded to each number.

How do I know what my configuration is?

If you are not sure about your phone configuration, please contact your Comcast Representative.

How can I download a recorded message?

To view all of your messages that were created and uploaded, click "My Phone System" then click "My Audio Library". Here, you can download all your messages or an individual message. You can also listen to the recording, view its script, and even change its title.

What is the difference between .wav and .mp3 in my download ZIP package?

The .wav file is compressed so it will sound best on your Voice Edge System. When you upload audio to your Comcast portal, you'll want to make sure you use this file. The .mp3 is provided so you can hear a high quality reference.

How do I install my On Hold and General Messages?

Currently Snap Recordings only supports uploading audio into your Auto Attendant message boxes. If you would like to upload your On Hold Message or General Message(s) into your Voice Edge System you can do so by downloading your audio from your Snap Recordings Audio Library and uploading those files into your Comcast portal.

Click on My Account at the top right corner of the page. Below Customer Information, you can find your Registration ID, along with your current contact information.

How do I find my Site(s)/location(s)?

Click on My Account at the top right corner of the page. Below Auto Attendant Information, you can find your location(s).

How can I change my password?

Click on My Account at the top right corner of the page. Below Change Password, you can fill out the form to change your password. Click "Save Changes".
